I have been suggesting to students that attending school is just like going to work for adults. A job is something done for pay and payment is not always in money. Getting paid is being rewarded for the effort put into work so students are paid with their grade. Tell me your thoughts about going to school being the same as going to work.

Parents we know people work for many different reasons. Your career exploration child is working on a project to learn the many reasons why work is important. My 8th grade students are conducting surveys and will be discussing the data they collect as they make graphs of the information.
